AOIFE HANNA
REGISTERED DIETITIAN
Aoife is a passionate dietitian and has a wealth of international experience. Having obtained her BSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Chester, England, Aoife began her work as a hospital based dietitian in Wales. Here she counselled clients for conditions such as diabetes, cancer and cardiac rehabilitation. From there she has gone on to gain experience in both Ireland and New Zealand. In New Zealand, she was the senior diabetes dietitian for all diabetic patients in Wellington Hospital.
Her additional qualifications include a Post Graduate Certificate in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from the University of Coventry. She has gained experience working with local gaelic football teams and individual athletes including the 2014 winner if the Women’s County Monaghan Road Race League.
Aoife has completed the Low FODMAP training for management of IBS from Kings College, London, the INDI dietetic paediatric course and obtained a distinction in FETAC Train the Trainer Course. Her skills as a trainer have led to some excellent feedback from workplaces such as the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, “excellent presentation and would highly recommend” and “absolutely excellent presentation”.
Aoife strongly believes in providing safe and accurate nutrition advice. Her interest in research ensures that you receive the up to date, expert advice you need. Aoife has spoken at national conferences in the UK, has had her work published and also her work presented at a national diabetes conference in New Zealand. Her international experience means that you are getting up to date advice from around the globe.
As well as running regular dietetic clinics and nutrition workshops, Aoife has a wealth of corporate experience having provided a dietetic service to Google’s EMA Headquarters in Dublin, Microsoft, Allianz, VHI and PayPal. She is a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute and is also on the Committee for the dietetic Weight Management Interest Group
